Israeli Strikes Leave Multiple Dead, Injured Across Gaza
The casualties were taken to Nasser Medical Complex in Khan Younis for treatment and identification, according to reports.
Earlier in the day, another Israeli strike hit a food storage facility and nearby vacant land in the same area, leaving three Palestinians with minor injuries.
According to witnesses, the attack ignited fires that spread to a number of tents housing displaced families in the vicinity.
In a separate incident in Gaza City, one Palestinian was killed and several others were injured when an Israeli drone struck a gathering of civilians near Imam Al-Shafi’i Mosque in the Zeitoun neighborhood, according to medical sources.
Witnesses also reported artillery shelling by Israeli forces near the Al-Sanafour junction in the eastern Gaza City neighborhood of Al-Tuffah.
The violence follows a deadly airstrike carried out on Wednesday, the first day of Eid al-Adha, which targeted a residential building near Al-Israa Tower on Omar Al-Mukhtar Street in central Gaza City. The attack killed 10 Palestinians, including two women and two girls, while 18 others sustained injuries.
According to Palestinian officials, Israeli military actions have resulted in 910 deaths and 2,747 injuries since the ceasefire came into effect more than seven months ago.
Palestinian figures further indicate that since the start of Israel’s military campaign in Gaza in October 2023, more than 72,000 Palestinians have been killed and over 172,000 injured, with women and children accounting for the majority of the casualties.
