Protesters hold banners calling for protection of journalists, an end to targeted attacks, and guarantees for press freedom under what they describe as extremely dangerous conditions.
The conflict in Gaza is reported to have begun in October 2023 and has resulted in tens of thousands of deaths and widespread injuries, including among women and children.
Despite a ceasefire said to be in place since October 2025, reports indicate that Israeli strikes and restrictions continue, further worsening humanitarian conditions in the enclave, where around 2.4 million Palestinians live, including large numbers of displaced people.
