Drone Strike in Northern Gaza Murders Five, Including Children

(MENAFN) Five Palestinians, among them three children, were murdered and several others injured on Wednesday evening after a reported Israeli drone strike hit a civilian gathering in Beit Lahia in northern Gaza, according to a medical source cited by reports.

A source at Al-Shifa Hospital said the victims’ bodies were brought to the facility along with multiple wounded individuals, one of whom is in critical condition.

Witnesses stated that the strike hit a group of people gathered near Al-Qassam Mosque, resulting in multiple casualties. Emergency teams transported the injured and deceased to Al-Shifa Hospital, according to reporting from the area.

Health authorities in Gaza say that ceasefire violations have continued since an agreement reached last October, with hundreds reported killed and thousands injured during that period.

Officials also note that the ceasefire was intended to end a prolonged military campaign in Gaza that caused extensive casualties and widespread destruction to civilian infrastructure. According to UN estimates cited in reports, reconstruction needs are expected to reach tens of billions of dollars due to the scale of damage.
